Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Because it's a state-funded position, the compensation is weak. But increased autonomy can make a big difference to overall satisfaction in light of that.
I work hard but do not get raises. I would expect to get a cost of living raise that beats inflation
