Mr. Keith S. Kennedy, CFA, CPA, has been Chief Financial Officer at Veracyte, Inc. since December 16, 2016. Mr. Kennedy has over 20 years of executive experience in finance. He led strategy and operations for the publicly held commercial finance company and assumed various board roles and oversight responsibilities for its portfolio companies in health care and other industries. He led MCG Capital's successful sale to PennantPark Floating Rate Capital in 2015 and consulted for PennantPark Investment Advisors after the sale. He served as the President of MCG Capital Corporation from March 6, 2014 to August 18, 2015 and served as its Chief Executive Officer from April 2014 to August 18, 2015. Mr. Kennedy served as the Managing Director and Executive Vice President of MCG Capital Corporation since February 2012 and served as its Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer since May 15, 2012. He served as the Principal Financial and Accounting Officer at MCG Capital Corporation and was responsible for investor relations. Prior to GE, Mr. Kennedy served in various tax, audit and transaction advisory roles in public accounting. Mr. Kennedy served as a Manager of Transaction Services at Ernst & Young, LLP (formerly Andersen LLP) where he consulted on over 35 corporate transactions. Early in his career, Mr. Kennedy served as an Officer in the U.S. Air Force and he worked for Vinnell Corporation in Muscat, Oman. Mr. Kennedy is a Chartered Financial Analyst and Certified Public Accountant. He served as a Director of MCG Capital Corporation from April 2014 to August 18, 2015. He received an M.B.A. from The College of William & Mary and Bachelor of Science with High Distinction from Indiana University.
