G. Michael Palladino — Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Vertex Pharmaceuticals

Mr. G. Michael Palladino, also known as Mike, has been Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated since July 2015. Mr. Palladino oversees all global aspects of talent acquisition, retention, performance management, compensation, benefits, HR information systems, leadership, talent development, employee relations and diversity. Previously, Mr. Palladino served as Vice President, Corporate Legal, for Litigation, Employment & Risk Management at Vertex Pharmaceuticals. He provided guidance to management on employment contracts, compensation, non-disclosure, non-competition, discrimination/harassment, international labor laws, investigations and employee relations issues. He also managed all company non-intellectual property related litigation, including but not limited to products liability/tort, commercial, securities, employment and life sciences matters. In addition, Mr. Palladino oversaw the Vertex's enterprise risk management and information governance programs and practices. From 2002 to 2009, Mr. Palladino was an employment and labor attorney at Morgan, Brown & Joy, LLP in Boston, Massachusetts and then at Schwartz Hannum PC in Andover, Massachusetts. In private practice, he represented employers of various sizes and industries, providing employment, labor, commercial and immigration law guidance and representation in litigation. From 1995 to 2002, Mr. Palladino served in organizational development and training, public policy and government services roles at University of Massachusetts Donahue Institute, the government affairs unit of the UMass President's Office. Mr. Palladino received his J.D. cum laude from Suffolk University Law School and his B.A. in Political Science from Yale University.
