Mr. Richard Lowery has been Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President at W.R. Berkley Corporation since August 31, 2016. Mr. Lowery served as a Senior Vice President with the Marsh and McLennan Companies where Mr. Lowery was a practice leader in their Operational Risk Management Organization. Mr. Lowery is a senior supply chain management professional with over 17 years of experience in Management and IT consulting in supply chain management, operational risk management, systems integration and business continuity management. He served executive positions in both the United States and in Europe where he has supported the needs of over 70 international companies including The Toro Company, Guidant Corporation, Heinz, Clorox, Vlasic, Novartis, IBM, GE, and OfficeMax. Mr. Lowery has nearly 30 years of experience in information technology and served in senior roles at Risk Solutions International and Marsh & McLennan Companies, management consulting firms focused on creating strategies to enable business with technology. Mr. Lowery has worked with companies to identify, and manage operational risk in order to develop resiliency within the supply chain and reduce the overall risk to the business. In support of this work he has lead the development of a risk-adjusted approach to quantifying and managing risk in the supply chain. Prior to co-founding Continuum Group, Inc., Mr. Lowery, As part of that role, he led the development of Marsh's Revenue Continuity and Supply Chain Risk Management Solution. Mr. Lowery served executive positions with Born Information Systems, KPMG/Bearingpoint Consulting and MSM Systems Europe. Mr. Lowery has experience in manufacturing, distribution, retail, and service in Life Sciences, High Technology, Insurance, Consumer Products and Publishing. He served as Member of the Advisory Council at Risk Solutions International, LLC. He serves as a Board Member on the Carlson School of Business Advisory Board, and is frequently sought after and quoted in supply chain management journals and trade publications. He holds a B.S. in business administration from Marquette University.
