Mr. Alan R. Kofoed has been a Senior Vice President of Construction at Weingarten Realty Investors since March 1, 2011. Mr. Kofoed is responsible for all facets Engineering and Construction of all WRI's projects including shopping centers, warehouses and other projects undertaken by it. He served as Vice President of Construction at Weingarten Realty Investors from October 2001 to March 1, 2011. Additionally, he is responsible for the engineering, environmental and construction due diligence activities for all acquisitions. He joined WRI in August 2001. Mr. Kofoed began his professional career as Project Manager for Rouse Company and subsequently served as Vice President of Development of Prime Retail in which he was responsible for the development and construction of over 1.5 million square feet of Outlet Retail space throughout the United States. He served on the Program Committee for Centerbuild within ICSC organization. He is a Member of the International Council of Shopping Centers. Mr. Kofoed received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida.
