Mr. Richard H. Carson, also known as Rick, has been Senior Vice President of Development and Acquisitions at Weingarten Realty Investors since March 10, 2017. Mr. Carson served as Regional Vice President of Development and Acquisitions at Weingarten Realty Investors until March 10, 2017. He served as Vice President and Senior Regional Director of New Development at Weingarten Realty Investors. Mr. Carson served as Regional Vice President of the Southeast Division at Weingarten Realty Investors since September 15, 2008. He has more than 30 years of executive marketing and retail development experience and has a strong background in real estate development, marketing and finance. Prior to joining Weingarten, he served as an Executive Vice President and Development Partner of Hendon Properties, LLC in Atlanta, where he was responsible for development of regional power and grocery anchored centers. Previously, he held a number of senior level corporate development and sales and marketing positions outside the real estate industry. Mr. Carson completed graduate finance courses and also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing from Georgia State University.
