Ms. Frances Cheung, CFA has been Head of Macro Strategy for Asia at Westpac Banking Corporation since September 2017. Ms. Cheung is responsible for leading Westpac's Asian rates, FX and macro financial markets strategy across the region, working with a core team of analysts to produce market-leading insights and analyses of Asia's capital flows at Westpac Banking Corp. She has 15 years of experience as an Economist and Rates Strategist, covering Asian economies and markets. She served as the Head of Rates Strategy for Asia ex-Japan at Societe Generale Cross Asset Research. Ms. Cheung was the Head of Asian Rates Strategy at Credit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank, Research Division since April 2010. Prior to that, she had worked at Standard Chartered Bank, Primasia Securities and HKSAR Government. She was named as the number one of Best for Overall Interest Rate Research Analyst in Asiamoney Fixed Income Poll 2012, 2013 and 2014; number one as Best Local Currency Analyst in FinanceAsia Fixed Income Research Poll 2012 and 2013; number two of Best Local Currency Analyst in FinanceAsia Fixed Income Research Poll 2014; number three of Best for Overall FX Research Analyst in Asiamoney FX Poll 2012 and 2014; number one as Best Analyst in FinanceAsia Fixed Income Research Poll 2011. She is a CFA charter holder. She has Bachelor of Social Science in Economics from Chinese University of Hong Kong. She also has a Master of Philosophy and Economics from Chinese University of Hong Kong.
