Angela Johnson — Director of Finance at Whitmor
Executive Bio
Angela Johnson joined Whitmor in 2015 and currently serves as its Director of Finance. She is responsible for the financial stewardship of the company including financial reporting, audits, capital and operating budgets, and debt and treasury management. She especially enjoys process improvement, creating efficiencies, and team-building.
Angela graduated Summa Cum Laude from Norfolk State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. She also has her Masters of Business Administration. She began her career in public accounting at Deloitte and Touche. Her husband’s Naval career meant lots of moving, so she has lived and worked in eight different states. This constant moving allowed her to obtain over 25 years of experience in many different industries from both large public companies to smaller, privately-owned family businesses.
She currently lives in Southaven, MS with her husband Jerel. She has 3 children Bené, Ricky, and Imani. Bené is a Biology Teacher, Ricky is a manager at Chick-fil-A, and Imani is a student-athlete at the University of Alabama at Birmingham majoring in Kinesiology. When Angela isn’t working her favorite things to do are going to her daughter’s basketball games, traveling abroad, reading, and spending time with family.
