At Yext, we are committed to creating more sustainable practices, and prioritizing the environment. We're educating our global workforce on the impact of our carbon footprint and implementing emission reduction strategies. We recognize that serving our employees and clients means more when we are also serving our community and planet.
Yext has an Employee Resource Group dedicated to Sustainability with the focus on encouraging employees to live sustainably both in and out of the office, engage with the local community in environmental efforts, and both identify and implement specific solutions to help Yext operate in a more environmentally sustainable fashion.
To us, it’s also important to inspire customers to live sustainably through the use of our products and features. We have added 39 new sustainability built-in fields for our hotel clients. These fields allow hotels to store information that pertains to a hotel’s energy efficiency, water conservation, waste reduction and sustainable sourcing efforts. We also added built-in fields that allow hotels to store data about any eco-certifications they may have received.
Additionally, in a previous initiative we encourage clients to leave a review about Yext. In doing so, G2 would contribute $10 and Yext would donate an additional $90 to The Canopy Project with the goal of reforesting areas in dire need of rehabilitation. Yext raised $10,000 through this campaign, which equated to 10,000 trees.
By partnering with programs like Green Places, we’re creating a long-term sustainability action plan to reduce our carbon footprint and identify and implement specific solutions to help Yext operate in a more environmentally sustainable fashion.
Here at Yext, we encourage employees to give back to support their local communities. In 2021, we donated to and partnered with 7 nonprofit organizations. Through our Employee Resource Groups, Yexters are provided the opportunity to get involved with the community in causes they care about. This includes partnerships with the Lower East Side Ecology Center, Ronald McDonald House, & SAGE.
