During his twenty plus years as a senior leader within the firm, ICF has rapidly become one of the most dynamic and successful consultancies in the industry. Starting with one office in Washington D.C., ICF now has over 7,000 employees across more than 70 offices worldwide. The company has doubled in size every five years over the past two decades and in the process has also greatly expanded its array of capabilities and services offered. John joined ICF in 1987 as an associate and has led client work in the areas of energy, environment, transportation, public health and disaster recovery, among others. He was appointed CEO on October 1, 2019 and previously served as chief operating officer. John is a Board member of the Northern Virginia Technology Council. He was awarded the 2014 Distinguished Alumni Medal for Business Achievement by the University of California Davis College of Engineering where he also serves as Chair of the Dean’s Executive Committee. He received his Master of Science degree from the Technology and Policy Program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Davis.
