BIO: Prior to retiring in August 2014, Marty served as the chief executive of Accenture's Technology group, with responsibility for the full range of Accenture’s technology consulting and outsourcing solutions and delivery capabilities, including its Global Delivery Network. He led technology innovation, including the Accenture Technology Labs, the Accenture software business, and development of emerging technology solutions, including Cloud solutions. Marty joined Accenture in 1980 and also served as chief executive of Accenture’s Communications, Media & Technology operating group, which serves clients in the communications, electronics, high technology, media, and entertainment industries by delivering industry-specific solutions and focusing on the convergence of communications, computing and content; chief executive of Accenture's Public Service operating group, with overall responsibility for Accenture's services to governments and other public-sector entities; and as global managing director of Accenture's Outsourcing & Infrastructure Delivery group, where he led the development and oversaw the execution of Accenture's outsourcing strategy. Prior to this, he held numerous leadership positions in Accenture’s Public Service operating group. During his tenure, Marty sponsored the formation of Taleris, a joint venture between Accenture and GE Aviation, to provide global commercial airlines and cargo carriers with services focused on improving operations by leveraging aircraft performance data, prognostics, recovery, and planning solutions. He also served as the chairman of the board of Avanade, a joint venture of Accenture and Microsoft, and was a member of Accenture’s Global Management and Operating Committees. Marty is the co-author of "Unlocking Public Value: A New Model for Achieving High Performance in Public Service Organizations," a guide to understanding how public service organizations can measure, analyze, and improve public value over time. He received his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College and a graduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin.

He is a proven leader and innovator in the tech industry with more than 20 years in leadership at innovative software and cloud companies, including Google, IBM, BEA Systems, WebMethods, and NeXT. As Chairman and CEO of Apigee, he led company-wide initiatives to build Apigee into a leading technology provider for digital business. Google (Apigee) is the cross-cloud API management platform that operates in a multi- and hybrid-cloud world. Chet successfully took Apigee public before the company was acquired by Google in 2016. Chet earned his B.S. in engineering from Arizona State University.
