BIO: Robert J. Makheja is a visionary leader and successful transformational entrepreneur whose experience spans across numerous industry endeavors, as well as being a leader in successful mergers and acquisitions among the largest Fortune 50 companies. He is highly recognized by the industry for leading large teams to solve complex customer problems, integrating large corporations and consistently exceeding business results. Recently, Makheja was a critical part in leading the merger and integration of HPE Software with Micro Focus International (IPO NYSE MFGP Sept. 2017, LSE MFGP.L) for $8.8B, to become the seventh largest pure play software company globally. In 2018, he helped to build and became the President of MFGS, Inc., a U.S.-based and operated private firm, purpose-built, government compliant, and customer-centric enterprise software company providing end-to-end Micro Focus solutions that help U.S. Federal Government agencies solve mission-critical IT challenges. Makheja was the co-founder of the private equity firm, RJM Capital, a leading investment firm that owns and manages multiple asset classes, including infrastructure, technology, biosciences, real estate and credit. He is also a Managing Partner at RJM and Associates, a premier legal advisory firm for business and technology. Robert and his wife remain committed to philanthropic giving, activities, and mentoring programs globally through their NEXTGEN charitable organization. Early in his career, Makheja led in growing Peregrine Systems (NASD: PRGN), an enterprise software company based in California, and then was an integral part in the sale of the company to Hewlett-Packard (NYSE: HPQ) for $425 million. Prior to that, he was Vice President at Oracle Corporation (NYSE: ORCL) where he was recognized for both his stellar performance and ethical standards. Makheja has held other leadership positions at IBM, and Texas Instruments. Makheja earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Engineering from The George Washington University. He later went on to graduate with a Doctorate of Law (J.D.) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) as well as other advance education from Harvard Business School.
