BIO: Shane Smith assumed the role of President and Chief Executive Officer for Smithfield Foods in 2021. Based at the global food company’s headquarters in Smithfield, Virginia, he guides its vision and strategic direction across operations in the United States, Europe and Mexico. Mr. Smith has held a variety of leadership roles in the company’s U.S. and international operations since joining in 2003. He most recently served as chief strategy officer, where he helped develop, execute and sustain the company’s efforts to achieve growth through its own resources, as well as through mergers and acquisitions.

BIO: Donnie King is President and CEO of Tyson Foods, whose more than 133,000 team members around the world continue to build a portfolio of the world’s fastest-growing protein brands, including Tyson®, Jimmy Dean®, Hillshire Farm®, Ball Park®, Wright®, aidells®, State Fair® and more. Donnie was elected to the Tyson Foods board of directors in February 2022. As CEO, Donnie combines a drive for operational and financial excellence with a deep commitment to integrity and a passion for sustainability. He guides Tyson Foods with a philosophy rooted in personal connection, striving to create value for customers and feed the world while caring for the company’s team members, communities and the environment. Donnie started his career at Tyson Foods in 1982 in the Poultry segment and has since held leadership positions in businesses across the company. As a previous Chief Operating Officer and International Business Group President, Donnie helped grow Tyson’s global footprint, including in high-growth markets in Asia. He also served as President of North American Operations, where he was responsible for Poultry, Beef & Pork, International and Prepared Foods operations. Donnie has served on the board of directors of the National Chicken Council and the U.S. Poultry and Egg Association. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Arkansas-Monticello.
