I am actually a sub contractor, Mastec providd me wirh alot if support to help me grow my company Elevated Telecom. We started Elevated with $3,797$, We also started qs a 4th tier vendor. When we finally got direct Mastec had alot if programs and incentives that allowed us to grow

My company out of french camp CA near stockton CA provides no ice or water for the guys at all. Management talks to you like your worthless and belittles you Cesar our manger is one of the worst mangers ive ever had talk to you like your garbage and treats you like garbage you ask him for anything
Backstabbing doesn't believe their employees been texting back to the recruiter haven't been getting replies back

If you could make changes, how would you improve the culture at Mastec?
I would hire more people internally sort of moved them up the ladder if you will as opposed to bringing in people from off the street
What part of Mastec's business is growing fastest? What part is having difficulties?
It seems like human resources and attorneys are growing the fastest. And the part that is having a most difficult to you would be labor.
What interview questions does Mastec ask?
It would depend greatly on the person conducting the interview. Like I said my interview did not go all that well
What are your coworkers at Mastec like?
I would say 80% of my coworkers are great
What do people at Mastec think about the CEO? What do they do well and what can they improve?
They don't think very highly of the CEO just for the simple fact that MasTec dog keeps rising in our paychecks keep getting smaller

I wouldn't really know I was in an isolated group
How's the work life balance at Mastec?
It is absolutely terrible. I would spend 80% of my day consumed by MasTec. Whether it be driving to and from jobs that were hours away from my house and not being paid for it or being harassed via text message or cell phone about jobs on my off time
How does Mastec make decisions around promotions?
I am told that it's based on your job skills and your performance. But I have found out that it's more who you know not what you know at MasTec
How's the vacation policy at Mastec?
It used to be pretty relaxed but now it seems to have gotten more stringent seeing as how they keep letting employees go

It's terrible it starts and ends with your direct supervisor

Mostly women and minorities. And for some reason people who complain a lot

Just go in with a can do attitude.

Not very secure at all considering they would always have meeting to tell us how terrible we did on our performance

Performance reviews and raises are supposed to happen annually in the five years that I've been there I nearly had to quit to get a single raise of $0.32

I feel like my efforts would be better spent at a carwash

In my particular position there is absolutely no way for a social life x

Employees at MasTec come from every Walk of Life. I don't see why anybody whatever feel uncomfortable there.
