Favoritism by management and supervisors.Treat people equal and supervisors needs to act as if they are equal and not management's pet/besty
Some of my Supervisors and Managment Team doesn't say, "Good Job", they just think it's all about them and not Tyson, it's sad.
Favoritism is rampant. This plant puts $ 1st & TMs last. Plant Man & Asst P. M. demoralize, curse & yell at Supervisors. Replace management.

Some of the bosses still need a bit more work on how to talk to the workers

Better organization and communication between complexes and out laying facilities
Transfer Supervisors & managers w/ seniority out & replace w/ Supervisors not related 2 TMs in any way. Plant a corporate spy in management.
The Supervisors and some of Management need to stop treating us like we are slaves and that we work for them and not for Tyson Foods.

Stop worrying about personal performance and focus on Team performance. Help someone that's struggling instead of telling on them

Giving me the freedom to run my floor, but there for guidance when I need them
They will step up and help a Team Member with personal problems. But there's also little positive feedback unless your in their circle.

That we have our culture as a focus.
We try to show respect to different cultures..there is so many in our company. We try to understand.
Our team works together. Communicate with one another. Our managers are on top of it. Which makes us the best Tyson plant

The company run the chain faster producing more product but we are under pay..other plants start the employee with better pay.
Just to be treated fairly
Forklift drivers at other locations and in different industries start off making more per hour by an average of 2-3$
How rewarding is your job at Tyson Foods?
it is not rewarding at all. the management cares nothing about the employees, even if it is said that there is a weapons threat, it is of no concern to the management one way or another- NONE AT ALL!
I love it! I love the guys I work with and we are successful.
I like what I do but it can be wishy washy at times. Little one day they tell us this then a week later it is this.
If you could make changes, how would you improve the culture at Tyson Foods?
Maintenance needs to hire electricians they can train to be mechanics rather than hiring mechanics and hoping they will have aptitude in the electrical field.
Stop with each shift trying to crap on the next only. Get folks more help. And start trying to help folks improve and more up that are all ready here
Better communication. Speak English. This is America.

It depends on company profits...they look once at whether or not they reached profit goals...yes-you gat a raise that year... no-they look again next year!

To get more schooling for the engineering department
You better be tough willed..thereis no compassion...either do it or go home
That if u want to move up u have to have family that can do that for u. And no matter how hard u work u can be replaced.

getting fired. they have us here in a cage, there are no other jobs in this rural area, so we cannot quit.
If I could not respect my Manager, if wages were cut, if HR did not support operation discipline, if I won the lottery.

Sadly, there is no interview process. The applicant comes in with other applicants. They tour the plant seeing us perform different jobs. Then the applicant decides if the job works for them . the only thing they ask is if the shift they are hiring for works for them. This is bad in the way some people cannot actually perform the job or even show up.
How did u like the plant
Not sure it has been 13 years ago. But I do remember one. It was can u handle the smell

Intense but interesting with lots of two way dialog.

Relaxed ,like the peaple at tysons are easy to talk to..Other jobs felt like i was being talk down to.
