How hard is it to get promoted at Tyson Foods?
well they have 5 million chiefs for every 2.5 indians... guess it isn't too hard- if you are in the clique it helps.
Very hard. U have to have a degree just to get a asst. Supervisors job or have a family member who is upper management. It would be nice if Tyson had a program that would help folks with inside a plant that has been there for a while the chance to move up.
What makes you the most proud about working at Tyson Foods?
nothing, it is a disgusting place that nobody likes to come to. above and far beyond the nobody likes their job quote, this is unreal how upset everyone here is.
Right now not really anything it seems they have changed a lot before they cared about the people now I’m not so sure (very concerned)

What's the vibe like in the Operations dept at Tyson Foods? How many hours are you working?
Not even 40 it’s upsetting a lot of the people who work here
The "vibe" truly depends on who is in leadership. Operations is not incredibly high pace as in some industries but there needs to be a sense of urgency to be successful. Depending on seniority an hourly TM might work 8-10 hours a day. Most Supervisors work 9-11 hours a day.
What perk or benefit should Tyson Foods have?
Give to all equal not to bosses favorite
Some kind of gap insurance in the health insurance program. $10,000 out of pocket can easily destroy most family budgets.

What would it take for me to believe ..... Tell me about a time .... Pretty typical style questions that ask you to describe a scenario, what you did to correct it and what was the out come of your actions.

Witnessing development of my Team as individuals and as a Team and identifying and developing future leaders in the facility.

Who did you meet with during your interview? And how long did it take to hear back from Tyson Foods?
The interview process was a tag team type. I met with three Value Stream Managers over the phone. They chose to have me come in and interview face to face. Then I interviewed with the Operation Manager and the Shift Manager together, then with the Sanitation Manager, then with a tag team from HR. In between these interviews I was taken out to lunch by my future Manager. Approximately a week later I was called and given an offer.

Positive attitude, food back ground, proven good work ethic, critical thinking capacity, organized, team player, awareness of surroundings. Able to both follow directions and contribute to problem solving and continuous improvement. Ability to master a task and teach others to do the same.

Well when I was there we worked any where from 8 to 16 hours a day sometimes more depending on whats going on

CEO over payed. They need to pay more attention to worn out equipment hourly people try to use.
WEneed more pay ,not having new hires make as much as people whom have been there longer.Need to treat us all equal
What are your coworkers at Tyson Foods like?
They are great im one line one 2nd shift f p we all work together.But sometimes we help out line two because we may be done early or waiting for repairs ,but that everone does whatever they want to,walk off line say nothing take breaks all the time for as long as they want.Several of us have told or boss MR BOLAIN that we dont like the working on that line because to much talking and we get stuck over there covering for line 2s people while they done what ever
