I am not sure it has been a while for me. But if I remember correctly do u think u can handle the smell we're do u see your self in a year or two. Can u work any shift what shift do u like. Are u willing to work any we're. Things like that.

They are as fair as possible. HR usually understands the necessities of the production process and the importance of process discipline.
What skills do you need to be successful in the Operations department at Tyson Foods?
A back ground in food manufacturing is definitely a plus how ever focusing on tasks at hand as well as the ability to see the whole picture is critical. Organization is a must but one also needs to be capable of flexibility. Embracing change and thinking outside the box is also important. The ability to develop teams who contribute problem solving skills is both critical and will make a leaders job much less stressful. As a leader in the operations department you must be able to identify and help to develop leadership characteristics in your team members. If you are going to error, error on the side of safety whether personnel safety or food safety (critical thinking).

Tyson does not appear to be afraid to invest now for future growth or flexibility.

Tyson is very good at looking for internal talent and will expand role and responsibilities of TMs who apply themselves and are focused on developing skills necessary for advancement.

Organization, multi-tasking, emotional fitness, team development skills, knowledge and skills in lean principles and continuous improvement, SAP, ability to be an agent of change, physically fit.
What is the best advice you could give someone during their first month at Tyson Foods?
Communicate with your Manager daily. Be very clear that you will be successful in the position but you need to on-board with a strong player who knows the ins and outs of the position and can fast track you into obtaining vital information that will make you successful. Not being thrown to the wolves / sink or swim is just good business and your Manager will respect you for insisting on a direct and substantial learning period with quality leadership instructing you. This will give you time to set your priorities, establish direction and begin formulating short and long term goals. The outcome of this action will get you off to a strong beginning with both feet on the ground before taking over leadership of your team.

I work 3rd so I work with some good folks
What's the vibe like in the Product dept at Tyson Foods? How many hours are you working?
Not good. Team members feel under appreciated. And I mean come on u got folks working there job and someone else and they only get for one. I mean really. And then u have these big wigs kids coming in just out of college and getting ops manager jobs. That makes folks think I have worked hard for years and can't go no we're. What's the point. And as far as hours. I am at work for 8 and 1/2 hours but only get paid for 8 that is because I am qa tech. and I have to clock out for my break.
