Even though Calix is a large company with 1,000+ employees it feels like a small company. Which I love, and this starts from the top when it comes to collaboration and being open to feedback. Our leadership team is always available and easy to have a discussion with on ideas and improvements.

Ruthlessly prioritize projects that need to executed in the next 6 months that aligns with the business goals and that will deliver true ROI. Too many projects are approved and pushed as the priority, without any ROI. Split the org between Marketing and Operations - the leadership is unfocused.

Prioritize initiatives and projects ruthlessly. Not all ideas can and should be implemented. Root out incompetance and slackers. Too many employees ride on the heroics and experties of competant employees. Star employees are not being recognized and are burning out.
