It's difficult to tell if they are party to the issues or oblivious to them , but it's the same boardroom elite-types that brought us cube sharing in a pandemic. I think there's genuine shock on their part that they are expected to communicate, and more importantly, listen.

Listening more to employees. Take care of your employees, and they'll take care of your clients. Stamp out autocratic & bureaucratic sub-cultures and lean into the Schwab company values, which are fairly good but not consistently followed.

Recognize experience that comes from the outside. You can have 20 years of experience and it means nothing. At schwab you pay your dues in time. Outside talent need not apply

The leadership team aren't exactly the warm and fuzzy type. Everyone talks about how "friendly" everyone is at Charles Schwab. That's not necessarily true. Managers are not very friendly and neither are the team members.
