Work/life balance is great. People understand you have a life outside of the office and respect that.
The culture is very active! There are always holiday events, social events and ERGs (Employee Resource Groups) events that are going on.
Flexibility and Positive responses by the upper management.
people treat others with respect
Nothing anymore. I would have recommended years ago but not anymore
My coworkers were the best part.
Most people love working here!
The supportive nature of the company. I am new but everyone tells me that the manager will help me achieve my goals.
Leadership is amazing, you can move across teams
Good communication. right direction. No hurry but need to be accurate.
Coworkers are collaborative and always willing to help.
I work in Denver so they are nice and outgoing
Strong community focus and facilitated connection to social issues
Right now the ability to work remote 100%, but that’s changing soo
True to the purpose of "through client's eyes"
Schwab is supportive and it's a family-like environment. Everyone is there for each other through it all.
The culture is ethical, inclusive and respectful.
Review from IT Dept
quite honestly, the old schwab culture is gone. The downsizing has had an impact in SF.
Review from Product Dept
The vast majority of people working at schwab are looking to do what is best for our clients and make the extra effort most reps in other companies wouldn't make.
Review from Customer Support Dept
Everyone is so welcoming, inclusive and respect one another.
Company should have better strategy to achieve goals/targets than making employees over work
I don't think top leadership knows or even wants to know what their regular employees' lives are like. The CEO angrily insisted everyone return to the office yet the CEO and CHRO don't work from the office.
Survey honesty, subjective grading and senior leadership communication at team level. All would foster a culture of assisting others and being Able to help clients with their financial future rather than putting out fires.
Listening to employees and letting them work from home
Better training and access to computer
Review from Customer Support Dept
There is so much broken, it's difficult to know where to start, but Schwabbies will tell you all day long everything is fine even when it isnt. It's not safe to be wrong here.
Modernize technology and hybrid work policies
Company is so risk averse and fear driven, especially by audit (internal or external). This is to the point where it limits innovation, because any modernization requires layers of fighting through fear uncertainty or doubt (FUD) to make a tiny bit of progress.
Lean into Schwab values, and weed out bureaucracy
Siloes everywhere, we need to break down the silos
Re-infuse an overall appreciation for internal and external customers
Consistently running understaffed puts pressure on everyone and means work/life balance doesn't exist. Rampant and aggressive desire for diversity means that those who are in the desired protected class of the moment can behave and perform however they want with no consequence.
Review from Customer Support Dept
Get rid of the silo culture where pointing the finger at other groups is disguised as root cause analysis.
Actively remove or manage toxic people faster, rather than waiting for a layoff.
