The commission plan is fair, appealing, and inspires the correct behaviors. I've never been in an organization that has used this much wisdom and creativity to be in drive the results for which they're looking. I tip my hat to Gary Golden. Also, I'm VERY glad that Cherwell provides stock options!

salary and benefits are not comparable with the market. I know I could earn more at other comparable companies. But the vision, people and culture play a part inthe overall happiness and love for the company.

Lower than average salary rate was presented at initial contract offer. While my tech experience wasn't as competitive as some of my colleagues, I surpassed several in leadership and management expertise with a varied background in these areas and this was not even a consideration.

The benefits made sense when we were a smaller company, but we have big company problems without the big company benefits. The pay is OK, but doesn't make up for the benefits. Specifically, the health and dental plans are expensive and still require a lot out of pocket.

Salary can vary, but we could set a midpoint of the range and make sure both my people and I are within 90% of our targeted range. We need to do some adjustments (they were called cost of living adjustments at my previous company) to offer a fair salary to the people who work here.

I was promoted to a QA Lead with promises that I would be compensated in the future. After 1 year of taking on the additional responsibilities I asked about the pay increase. I got the run around from my manager, from my director, and from HR. No merit increase was given. Unfair.
