Some roles are not recognized fairly. Grade elevations are largely based on the orbit of the team and how close it is to the exec leadership, not on long term performance. Turnover of team members largely consists of them finding better compensation elsewhere.

I started the process of applying for Cisco GVSE in November 2018 and was not hired until October 2019. I thought the interview process ok, but very long time until I was given formal offer letter even though it was relayed to me that I would be hired in April of 2019.
