I feel there is lacking communication between departments and the executive leadership, which tends to cause snowballing issues. Cleaning up communication and offering more flexibility in work. Invest in our tools (ie a CRM, a working phone system, support remote work)

Our speed to accomplish client requests is insanely slow, regardless of how big or small. Our ability to execute at the branch level is embarrassing. Anything that can go wrong typically does, so asking for referrals from clients is painful.

Back to Basics. Back to customer service. STOP investing in programs that DO NOT WORK. Spend some money and get programs that work WITH us, not us ADAPTING to the program.

We are no longer allowed puzzle books or crochet. We are not allowed blankets or soft plushie decorations. We are discouraged from using heat pads. Calling in sick counts against us. VTO and our 5-minute grace time were taken away. We are discouraged and penalized for socializing with other teams.

sometimes i feel like when i express what is wrong management just kinda brushes it off and makes excuses for them and i feel like sometimes our branch is not staffed accordingly

It is hard to focus at work. I feel filled with rage when rules the company have inforced are not being followed. I started a year ago and it has been a tough journey to feel valued as a worker here. Our customer cliental is also very gripey and angry and tons of smoking cigarettes on the premises.

Since I have been here at First Merchants the branches have received three pay raises. Since I have moved to the back office I have not seen any pay raise for the back-office workers. I feel that we in the back-office work just as much as the branches do and should receive the same incentives

We have staff members that have been late, sleeping on the teller line, ignoring customers and when brought to the manager they said well she is pregnant so we have to watch what we say..
