After 20+ years at Oceaneering, I have never been more disapointed in our management culture. It seems as though they are in the business of getting out of business.

This is the first year in about 4 years that raises will happen due to the overall weak market conditions and challenging environment that the business is facing.
How would you compare interviewing at Oceaneering International to other places you've interviewed?
Overall, the interview was fairly relaxed as I interviewed with the hiring manager. The interview was detailed in terms of going over my background in relation to the position that I was interviewing for at that time. Overall, it was a good experience.
What do people at Oceaneering International think about the CEO? What do they do well and what can they improve?
I appreciate that the CEO is pretty open with us, and freely transfers information
How does Oceaneering International make decisions around promotions?
Promotions are few and far between. Very flat organization. If you're used to a structured heirarchy, you'll find it's quite a bit different here. On some projects you may be thel ead, and on another you may be working for someone who was working for you on the last project.
How's the vacation policy at Oceaneering International?
2 wks per year to start. At three years (I think), you get 3 weeks per year. After 5 years (I think), it goes to 4 weeks per year. I'm not sure if this is location-dependent. You can also "book" 2 years worth of vacation (8 wks max) before you start to lose it.
Does Oceaneering International have any remote positions?
Depends on what you mean by remote locations. Their are offices in Houston, Lousiana, Maryland, Virgina, California, Angola, India, and a bunch more that I don't even know. Depends on what you're doing for the company
