We are SO FAR away from the market rate for our industry. As people move up in the org the pay rise is based on what the individual was earning in their previous role, rather than paying them at the market rate for their new role. There is not enough transparency around comp.

I think more conversations regarding compensation would make me feel better. I've never negotiated compensation with Rapid7, but instead was just told what they would offer me. Giving some room for negotiation would at least make me feel heard.
