Sage has been amazing. I joined during the pandemic and was onboarded remotely; I still felt as if I was included. The company care about you as a person. I've been given great opportunities by my manager to strengthen my business network as she's passionate about getting me involved.

If you could make changes, how would you improve the culture at Sage Software?
Help remote employees to find a way to meet in person so they can have a live, personal connection.
If we could get rid of the micro-managing, that would be great. It is done because of the extreme pressure to get things done. We have tools to show managers where a particular process is, but instead of using them, they like to ping us every 30 minutes asking the status of our task.
Stop treating your analysts like children. It's the number one reason they're leaving in droves.
What should I wear for an interview at Sage?
Business professional attire. We are a business casual work environment but its always a good recommendation to dress professionally for an interview.

How's the leadership on the HR team at Sage Intacct?
Excellent. Great vision, execution, and great humans.
Strong leaders in HR and recruiting.
What do people at Sage Software think about the CEO? What do they do well and what can they improve?
Its hard in such a large company to have a CEO who is relatable, but he does try. He holds monthly sessions to fill us all in on what is going on in the business.
They don't like him.

I wouldn't if you can help it at all.
How are layoffs handled in the Engineering department at Sage Software?
You are walked into a room, where you are told that you are no longer needed. You are then allowed to grab anything you need from your desk (supervised) and escorted from the building. It is terrible.
How flexible is your work schedule at Sage Intacct?

My work schedule is standard work day schedule. Some days I start earlier than other days and some days I work late. I have the freedom to leave for childcare or doctor appointments as needed.

Looking forward to the challenge each day.
How difficult is it to maintain a social life while in your job at Sage Intacct?
Completely doable. Best work-life balance that I've ever been a part of.

Fun and usually involve some sort of activity vs. just drinks and food.
What's one thing you wish you'd known before joining Sage Intacct?
That they've been a hidden gem in the Valley.

Overall, great!

Open layout for the most part. Only a few Executive team members have an office.
What unique perks and benefits does Sage Intacct provide?
Flexible work schedule and soon we will be having 5 days of PTO that can be used to support our favorite charities/organizations.

Very fun vibe and one of the most casual HR departments I've experienced before. Normal working hours.

Mostly accounting questions but some server and OS questions depending on the role.
