Asked to all employees at CA Technologies

  • People respect and despise him, he goes by "Biker Boy" due to the incredible amount of his personal likes and desired that the company funds and he has 48 million reasons to be happy with his sale to Broadcom.

  • I think the CEO is largely ceremonial in nature. The issues that CA struggles with are in management but it's typically weak and scared SVP's that are roadblocks to change vs the CEO. If you see an SVP who is not supporting the status quo that person will not be employed in the next cycle - SVP's are the force that stops progress.

  • Out of touch with how to make money and grow.

  • Corporate policy is unlimited vacation and HR enforces the policy.

  • unlimited in theory. subject to direct mgr approval. No guidance appears to be in effect from corporate, so basically you are at mercy of your mgr whims. Often pinchy and make you feel guilty to take time for yourself.

  • Typically pretty good.

  • On paper it is GREAT, in reality, it is what you make of it. If you are driven to succeed you may find it is hard to pull away from the grind and benefit from the opportunities for balance and their are many!

Remove strict governance that shackles creativity... being people into the process. Remove bauerecuracy within the corporate marketing department.

  • Reduce the fluff, there are many roles and teams that are created to solve a problem but they really just create issues and noise. Examples Customer Success Teams, Marketing Huddles, UX teams etc

  • I would not change the culture.
