Their customer satisfaction is great
Be honest to customers. Honor a customers request. If I cancel an order due to extenuating circumstances, don't tell me that it can't be cancelled when product was coming from China & expected delivery was close to a month. Professionally refund a customer for product, policy, express shipping.

How common is it to switch departments or teams at HP Inc.?
It's common for "high potentials" who are on a management track. For individual contributors, not so much.
Very common.
Very common, I have switched business, function and even continent
Does HP Inc. have any remote positions?
Yes, field sales and field service.
A few
Not really, but there are exceptions if canadite is the right fit, especially at higher levels.
What do people at HP Inc. think about the CEO? What do they do well and what can they improve?
Enrique is a long-time HP employee and believes in people and the HP way. He is a careful and conservative business leader that does not take undue risks, but does support some investment in potential growth areas. Recently, he has been vocal about supporting equity, inclusion, and social justice movements. Overall, I have been very pleased with Enrique as CEO.
Dion is well regarded and appears to be leading HP in the right direction.
We like Dion, he is making an old company grow and make cool, relevant products. Nobody expected HP to do this good
How's the work life balance at HP Inc.?
Top Employee Response
HP's culture is "always on".
12 hour days and the expectation of a response to emails within 15 minutes is the norm. Folks in Palo Alto eat lunch at their desk. Work-life balance is an area in need of improvement at HP.
Highly depends on the team. Every team has drastically different culture and reputation on this one.
What's the work from home policy like at HP Inc.?
You can do it occasionally but they like you to be mostly on site.
For sales-coded employees it's great. There's been a drive to get people back to the office, which is silly when all of your work is with extended teams at different sites. While the party line is that you need to come in to the office, some managers are more open to telecommuting than others and let their people work from home.
It varies by each unit
What's the office vibe like at HP Inc.?
Top Employee Response
HP Inc is a global company and the culture will vary across countries and departments. in general I found HP to have a lot of employee friendly policies and also the most flexible in allowing people to move across countries for growth
Layed back and casual. Flexible schedules and friendly peoplw.
I'm a teleworker so am in the office very rarely.
If you could make changes, how would you improve the culture at HP Inc.?
Steadily keep open door policy
More risk taking
Improve new employee onboarding and training, especially in Sales.
how formal is the interview process?
Top Employee Response
Depends on the location of your interview. Its formal in dressing wise other than that notvery formal The people given the interviews are not trained on it therefore they make up their own questions
I believe it depends on what position you are interviewing for. For me, I drsssed up formally while my interviewers are in business casual. But I didn’t feel overdressed and I got a feeling that I’d be underdressed if I didn’t do so.
It will vary depending on which group within the company you are planning to join. My interview process was very informal.
How's the morale at HP Inc.?
Morale is good, and improving.
The morale in my opinion is only so-so

I enjoy it and look forward to each day.
How much and how often do raises happen at HP Inc.?
Adjusted for inflation I make less than I did when I started 12 years ago. The only way to get a significant raise at HP is to leave.
Yearly and 4-5 percent

Fairly secure, we are growing and profitable.
Very secure

HP is working hard on diversity, better than most in Tech but we have work to do.

Pay for engineers is not great, but this is more than balanced by the supportive and flexible work environment. HP often rewards engineers with good communication and leadership skills. Engineers with excellent technical ability but poor interpersonal skills may struggle to advance.
Competitive.

Not at all difficult.
It isn't too difficult. I am able to come home consistently most nights at a good time and spend quite a bit of time with my family.
How does HP Inc. make decisions around promotions?
Merit based
HP considers the promotion path based on a job profile history and rating results history, and also business need for a promoted resource; but also the new skills and accomplishments made during the history, if this factors are not present, a promotion will be hard to justify

The jobs are taken internally by acquaintances mostly
What are your coworkers at HP Inc. like?
Top Employee Response
HP attracts smart, hard-working, professional and just generally nice people. After a decade at HP, through many ups and downs, it's the people I work with that sustain me and give me hope for the future.
The employees are very busy
What part of HP Inc.'s business is growing fastest? What part is having difficulties?
3D print is the future.
The Graphics and 3D print businesses are probably the biggest long term growth opportunities but in general, HP is firing on all cylinders. I certainly feel like I wound up on the right side of the Hewlett-Packard split.
How flexible is your work schedule?
it is not
Very reasonable...can adjust entry and exit times to fit schedule, more strict during deadlines (month end close) or forecast schedules, but otherwise, enough flexibility is allowed and perfectly reasonable.

Network with the recruiters who work and post for hpe
Employee and friend referral.
How's the leadership on the Sales team at HP Inc.?
HP doesn't have a very good sales culture. Management is focused on controlling OPEX more than on growing sales. Training and development for the Sales organization is poor and travel budgets to get salespeople in front of customers is ridiculously tight. Sales enablement and reporting tools are other areas of weakness.
