The company prides itself on being inclusive, non-discriminatory, and fun. That's all corporate talk with no weight to it. In such a laid- back environment, there is always room for bigotry if not outright malice to seep is way into management. I was lucky this hasn't happened with my team (much)

My store team is wonderful. As I mentioned, if I didnt like all the store managers I worked with in my first year (2 Spirit stores 1 Spencer's) I would have quit. My SM has consistently worked with my to build a simultaneously fun and respectful environment with our associates over the past 3 years

I like knowing that I am doing real work with real material things and real people. I'm not just aimlessly trying to seem busy or doing numbers work (that is part of the job, but a small one). A positive guest interaction can really make your day because you know you actually helped them with a gift
