Approachable leaders who value people
So far seems to be great
they are always there and available
my store manager fought for things to be right for the employees. the dm and higher ups in the company did not care to fix issues
They all went out of their way to help me
COMMUICATE TO EACH OTHER TELL US WHAT TO DO MORE CLEARLY Although treating us like family and friends are nice, I think we need to understand that we are co-wokers/colleagues. I dont need to feel guilted into going to work on my days off.
Review from Sales Dept
Speaking clearly, and letting you know exactly how to do it when to do it where to do it, and how things work
They need to get their system corrected so young people working for them get paid. Check Reddit for the number of young people trying to find a way to get paid.
I'm calling the labor board where is my pay I worked for management didn't put my hours in
There is no leadership. There are just people who are put into executive positions that are emotionally unhinged and who enjoy belittling the people that work for them.
Inlimited vacation after 5 years
health insurance is very good and competitive in price - time off is great
BONUSES AND Prize Competitions including giving away of cars and cash!
Love it all but the medical benefits are great
Paid vacation and bonus packages
Nobody's making a livable wage
You guys lost a loyal and honest employ who has always done the right thing even when lnow one is looking
Review from Sales Dept
To actually get paid timely for the work done.
Until the people in charge learn to value their employees and pay real market value, there is nothing that can be done to correct the compensation issues. As a privately owned company, they will continue to undervalue their employees in order to keep the profits for only a select few.
More hours need to be available
My fellow sales associates also understand that we are in the same boat abd help each other.
My team is diverse, competent, and hard working.
Openness and passion about the work and company
So i jusy transfered to a new store in a new state and this staff has been the most welcoming. Ive had the pleasure of training the Sr AM in hopes for her to befome the SM very soon
We understand eachother. Dislike the manager
Easthanover store I worked in I need my pay today
There is very limited professionalism. The company operates more like a high school than a professional corporation. They need to stop perpetuating and overlooking the bad behaviors of their employees if they want to prevent quality professionals from leaving.
Interdepartmental communication and collaboration is expected and frequent, while facilitating that interaction is non-existent. The presence of departmental tribalism causes unhealthy competition, animosity, and sabotage rather than the growth and teamwork necessary to prosper.
They need to pay better and give more hours.
Review from Sales Dept
they needed to be all on teh same page annd stop being lazy
Review from Sales Dept
I love selling pop culture stuff and all thr silly things we sell. its enjoyable for everyone.
New building, employee focused events
The staff and our repeat guests
I am allowed to be myself
The guests are the only positive part of my environment; they are always friendly, upbeat, and fun to interact with. My favorite part of the job was connecting with my guests.
As long as the owner continues to allow executives with low emotional IQ to thrive and destroy what little culture there is left, nothing can be done to improve the increasingly toxic work environment.
The idea of the culture is fine, the management needs a change in order for my store to thrive
listen to the staff more and stop treating the place like a hotel
Review from Sales Dept
I liked the indepth questions especially regarding the products we sell.
Breath of interviewers on the schedule
That if you had any questins at anytime they were willing to answer rigjt away
Being hired on the spot
Conversation flowed smoothly and I felt comfortable with they way we were speaking. Not too uptight, but still focused on the professional aspects.
Stop making people take Excel tests and focus more on the quality of the applicants.
Ask more questions relevant to the job.
More questions about the job and less questions about the same situation worded differently
Use a minimum of 2 personnel to engage and evaluate each candidate, increasing compliance with appropriate on-boarding procedures via peer-to-peer "checks and balances". AUDIT THE PROCESS regularly to identify and prevent negative experiences and increase initial positive outlook
Entire onboarding was unprofessional and painstakingly lengthy. HR representative was highly inept. Interview was cringeworthy and rushed, interviewer was rude and couldn't answer most simple questions about the company. Also failed to pay for drug screening, failed to notify me.
Seeing my work in action
Coming in and knowing that i dont have a toxic staff. Helping the guest find the best gift for someone.
Having break or going on lunch
Building connections and learning more about my guests. I enjoy hearing about their backgrounds and what makes them who they are.
Helping our happy customers stay that way
bad customer service and bad employee service
LatriniaHollis I need my pay I'm calling the labor office
I will continue to repeat that an unstable, emotionally unhinged executive is the key problem with this company. They set the tone for a pervasive toxic culture. Unless they are willing to change and remove the toxic elements from their ranks, nothing will improve.
End the current, unwavering fixation on revenue growth and expansion while pivoting to a temporary period of focus on other aspects related to supporting the people responsible for your success. Work towards an equilibrium that will sustain growth and development for company AND people.
Invest in the tools and develop the systems needed to allow for standardization and modernization of procedures, processes, and systems. Develop real training and education programs, foster positive and communicative collaboration accross teams, re-evaluate pay scales, create compliance team
