The base salary is way too low! We pay at the 50th percentile while most companies in the Bay Area are paying at the 75th percentile. Every in-house attorney I know is making much more than me. Attorneys at law firms make 5 times that much. We can't hire because of the low base. Some left.

Although the benefits (i.e., vacation, insurance, costs covered by employer etc.) are superb, the compensation employees receive doesn't match the day-to-day expectations & workload for the job.

I think the benefits package is great but I don't feel that the monetary compensation is very good at all. Perhaps it the nature of the role I have and it is comparable to other non tech customer support jobs in the sector. All I know is it puts a big limit on my ability to save for the future.
