I've rarely had to worry or bring up matters around compensation. I've received performance and assessment reviews regularly on an annual and sometimes semi-annual basis. The adjustments have always been fair and in response to my continued performance and ability to take on new responsibilities.

It's fair. It's a meritocracy based system and that can make some mad. Top performers get paid really well but as a startup, it's not just raises for showing up.

I wish management would make more of a point to call out working every weekend as a bad thing. A weekend here and there is fine, but when certain employees are working every weekend, it almost sets a precedent that is expected.
