I had a poor experience working at Olive Garden. I enjoyed my job, but the management is what eventually made me leave. During a time when a table was aggressive toward me, the GM did nothing to help and told me to work it out myself. The utter disrespect and irresponsibility of the GM is why I left

Learning a more adaptive leadership style. Authoritarian leadership style works on some, but not all and trying to use intimidation factors is not the way to create a functional and effective team of coworkers to accomplish the goals of the company. I would like to see GMs in leadership classes.
