  • Getting better. It's expected in our new culture, and all employees are trained in how to ask for and give it. Formal feedback conversations between managers and employees are required and they just announced that they will be tracking to make sure they're actually happening.

  • It varies from manager to manager, but the expectation is that managers and employees have regular, formal feedback conversations on a regular basis -- at least once a quarter, with a requirement that the employee documents that the conversation took place. Feedback is key to the changing culture at Panduit, so it's emphasized quite a bit.

  • Like most things in life, that's really more up to you than it is the company you work for. You can probably be as challenged as you choose to be. If you're not challenged, and want to be, there are plenty of opportunities to stretch. It is becoming harder to be a person who isn't open to being challenged and doing things differently at Panduit.

People love the new CEO - more openness and transparency, more clarity around strategy and mission, holding people accountable, extremely accessible, employee engagement is a top priority, making changes in the organization to be more competitive, focus on innovation, etc.

  • Getting better all the time. They just introduced telecommuting and revamped their PTO to be much more competitive.

  • Depends on your abilities. The reward for doing good work is more work. Which compounds consistently.

  • I don't know which department the other person who answered works in, but people are promoted at Panduit all the time. Decisions are made based on performance and ability -- if there isn't someone internally to fill the role, they look outside, but employees always have the first opportunity for positions.

  • If you don't know, say so. The worst thing you can ever do at Panduit is try to fudge your way through or around something. It's always been that way, and still is. There are very good, smart people here who are willing to help you get up to speed and learn -- just don't fake it. Our founder was famous for telling people he'd rather hear "I don't know" or "what I did didn't work" because that puts you closer to solving the problem at hand.

  • No pets. Not yet, anyway. A lot has changed here in the past few years in terms of telecommuting, casual work attire, flex time, etc.. Who knows what will happen down the road?

  • Most definitely. There are many people here who have had 2 or 3 completely different careers -- moving from Finance or Product Development to HR or IT, for example. That's one of the company's biggest strengths, in my opinion. At Panduit, talent is talent.
