It's been a positive experience from onboarding. I've been welcomed warm and treated with kindness and respect. The culture is professional, but not stuffy. I enjoy that innovation and creativity is embraced, and that my manager encourages me in areas where I want to develop.
I love the Company and am very optimistic about it's future. We are a work hard culture that compensates people for their contributions.

What does the leadership team at Instacart need to get better at?

Greedy, our CEO was featured in Forbes as one of the richest people under 40 and yet he is stealing from his workers.
They don't know how to communicate with the team and are not available to even speak to.
Communicating: their phone manner is very unprofessional, their emails are unprofessional, the "managers" are a bunch of snobbish millennial
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation at Instacart?

They keep cutting pay and asking for more work. Unrealistic.
We are not paid how we should and we are undercut in our pay. The service fee is a white lie and how it is given to the employees.
Constant pay cuts to their already low pay. Instacart is a sinking ship.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved at Instacart?

I am expected to drive hours on end. Sometimes 100 or more miles per day. I have no control over what orders I take and which ones I don't
Anything and everything is wrong and the company doesn't care about its employees
I feel sad for people who are dependent on this income as they are used by the company.
What needs to change to make the company culture better at Instacart?

Workers don't feel valued, respected. Lack of trust from workers re: compensation. No attempt by co. to solicit ANY input from workers.
Fair pay is the biggest issue. Low pay and deceptive business practices from management leaves workers feeling taken advantage of.
We fight for our hours and schedule ourselves. We are pushed hours and they don't pay attention to anything we say.

Nobody has any idea what is going on. Rules keep changing.
Since the pay decreases, Instacart has been filling positions with subpar people who do not care about proving good service.

Does Instacart drug test or do a background check?
Yes
They do a thorough background check which takes a few days but after that your good to go!
A simple background check is all that is done.

Patience, and being able to do the job quickly at the same time as gently!

Not at all. They replicate what other apps are doing and charge muddy fees and markups. They steal and blame glitches.

What environment? Any time I have voiced my issues to Shopper happiness I've been told If I don't like it, then find another job...

I work for other companies just like instacart. Postmates being one of them. When I’m not working, I’m hanging out with my two daughters.
What benefits does Instacart provide?
A ton. Insurance of many types, and just recently started offering membership to a company called perkspot which is a site that gives you discounts and deals to every store you can imagine.
What's the interview process like at Instacart?
Answer a couple questions online, pass a background and vehicle inspection, and wait to receive your start-up package in the mail. The entire process takes around a week.

Not applicable. You get to make your own schedule.

Professional attire. What you would want someone delivering your groceries to look like.
