The culture here at Stack is truly impeccable, I see why folks have been here for as long as the company first started over 15 years ago.
I like working here and I'm very happy to have joined. The overall company culture is great and there are a lot of great people here. There is a strong emphasis on personal development and a lot of resources are provided to that end.

How's the vacation policy at Stack Overflow?
Very generous !
4 weeks of vacation to start. Goes to 5 at your 3rd anniversary. Every 5 years you get a 5 week sabbatical.
Generous, and employees are encouraged to actually take their vacation. Sabbatical policy kicks in after 5 years with the company, and again, employees are encouraged to actually use it - and many people do so.

Developer-oriented, for better or for worse. Caring and intellectual. Genuinely good flexible hours policy that people actually make good use of. Folks care about each other here, but they don't always get it right.
