What's the work from home policy like at Stack Overflow?
Stack has a very strong remote culture. About 1/3 of company works remotely, including some of the execs. Remote workers are given standing desks and office chairs, and a work-from-home monthly stipend. Nearly all meetings take place on Google Hangouts, so remote workers have face-to-face time with co-workers.
What's the interview process like at Stack Overflow?
The interview process can be done completely remotely which gives you a good feeling for what it is like to work at Stack. It includes a project, which might be unusual for some people. You get paid $500 for the expected 10 hrs of work.
