Mr. Andrew M. Sieg, also known as Andy, has been the Head of Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated since March 2017. Prior to this, he led Merrill Lynch's San Diego office complex. He joined Merrill Lynch in 1992 as an Analyst in the Global Wealth Management business and later served as Assistant to the Chairman and President as well as Managing Director and Head of Merrill Lynch's Financial Advisory Center. Prior to Merrill Lynch, he served in The White House as an aide to Assistant to the President for Economic and Domestic Policy. He serves as a Board Member of ReadWorks.org and The Peter Westbrook Foundation. He represents Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc. on the board of the Global Coalition on Aging and the Stanford University Longevity Institute. He was named an Alumni Fellow of Penn State in 2013 and is a member of the Schreyer Honors College External Advisory Board. He serves as a Member of the Harvard Kennedy School Dean's Council. Mr. Sieg holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Penn State University in 1989 and a Master's Degree in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School in 1992.
