He worked globally with Worldcom's senior procurement team to ensure that the entity that emerged was vibrant and had healthy vendor relationships. Additionally, Mr. Goren has a strong entrepreneurial background which includes helping to found a merchant banking firm that acquired and managed companies in a wide range of industries such as food, textiles, and entertainment, as well as founding a financial advisory firm that advised clients on capital and transactional issues in diverse industries including high-tech, receivables management, consumer finance and specialty manufacturing. He is a member of the Turnaround Management Association and the Association of Corporate Growth. Mr. Goren earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Studies from Pitzer College and a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
