Professional Background

Mr. Bruce R. Thompson has been Vice Chairman of Bank of America Corporation since March 26, 2016. Mr. Thompson served as the Chief Financial Officer of Bank of America Corporation from June 2011 to August 01, 2015 and served as its Managing Director until March 26, 2016. Mr. Thompson also served as a Member of Executive Management Team of Bank of America Corporation. He was responsible for all finance functions as well as Corporate Treasury, Global Corporate Strategy Planning and Development, Investor Relations, Corporate Investments and Global Principal Investments and also served as the Chief Risk Officer at Bank of America Corporation from January 2010 to July 22, 2015 and served as its Managing Director/Head of Global Capital Markets from 2009 to January 2010. Mr. Thompson was responsible for working with Bank of America's lines of business to identify and navigate credit, market and operational risk to support sustainable growth. He served as Managing Director and Head of Global Capital Markets (GCM) at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Mr. Thompson had accountability for Equity Capital Markets, Investment Grade Capital Markets, Leveraged Acquisition Finance, High Yield Capital Markets, Debt Advisory Services, Loan Capital Markets and Global Origination for Rates & Currencies. Prior to GCM, he held senior leadership positions in the Global Credit Products (GCP) group, including Co-head of the entire GCP platform and Head of Global Leveraged Finance. Mr. Thompson joined Banc of America Securities high yield origination group as a Managing Director in 1996 and was named Head of U.S. Leveraged Finance Debt Capital Markets in 2006. He spent the majority of his career with Kidder, Peabody & Co. Mr. Thompson serves as a Director of Kennedy Manufacturing Co., American Heart Association in west Tennessee and KMC Holdings LLC. He also serves as a Director of Merrill Lynch & Co Inc. and as the General Partner of various funds in the fund complex of BofA Merrill Lynch funds. Mr. Thompson is a Trustee at the Darden School Foundation Board of Trustees at the University of Virginia and Allegheny College in Meadville, Penn. He holds an MBA from the Darden School at University of Virginia, where he graduated with honors and a bachelor's degree from Allegheny College, where Mr. Thompson also graduated with honors and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He is a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio with a BS in accountancy. Mr. Thompson also received an executive MBA from the University of Memphis (Tennessee).
