He maneuvered the airline's largest financial restructuring in its 87-year history, organized the launch of low-cost carrier Click Mexicana and engineered the sale of Mexicana to a Mexican investor group. He served as the Vice President of Corporate Development of Grupo Televisa, S.A. de C.V., from 1995 to 1996. From 1989 to 1994, Mr. Romano served in many roles within the Mexican Ministry of Finance and Public Credit, including General Director of Revenue Policy and Federal Fiscal Attorney. He served as Professor of Tax Law in the post-graduate program at Escuela Libre de Derecho since 1994. He has been an Independent Director of TAM S.A. since November 2009. Mr. Romano serves as a Director of Tam Linhas and President of IATA's International Airline Training Fund Council. He served as a Director of Claxson Interactive Group Inc., since November 12, 2001. He served as a Director of Gabriel Technologies Corp. (Formerly, Princeton Video Image Inc.) since September 2001. He served as a Director of Univision Communications from 1995 to 1998. He was responsible for Televisa's operations outside of Mexico and he co-managed Cablevisi n, the largest cable network in Mexico. Mr. Romano has a Law Degree from the Escuela Libre de Derecho in Mexico City and was a Graduate student at the City of London Polytechnic.
