Mr. Eric Poer serves as Senior Managing Director of Consulting Forensic and Litigation segment at FTI Consulting, Inc. He assists in-house and external counsel in matters involving accounting analysis and the economics and financial analyses of complex transactions and damages resulting from a variety of civil claims. Mr. Poer has extensive experience providing expert witness testimony in more than 30 securities and commercial litigation matters. Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Poer served as a Director in the Forensic Accounting practice at LECG. He served as Managing Director of San Francisco Office at LECG Corporation since January 5, 2011. Mr. Poer is a Veteran Litigation Consultant, Financial Analyst and Market Researcher. Prior to joining LECG as a Principal in 2005, he served as Senior Manager, Financial Advisor and Auditor capacities at Bates Private Capital Inc., KPMG, Arthur Andersen and UBS PaineWebber. Mr. Poer has extensive experience in accounting, finance, and the securities industry, where he has lead dispute consulting and forensic investigations, also the extensive experience providing expert witness testimony in more than 30 litigation matters. Mr. Poer is also an adjunct professor at Golden Gate University where he instructs a post-graduate forensic accounting course on conducting financial statement investigations. He serves as a member of finance committee at New Avenues for Youth in Portland, Ore and a member of the forensic accounting advisory board for Golden Gate University in San Francisco. He serves as a member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, Oregon Society of CPAs, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, California Society of Certified Public Accountants, Forensic Accounting Advisory Board - Golden Gate University, Bar Association of San Francisco, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and the Silicon Valley Campaign for Legal Services. He has expertise in Accountant Malpractice Claims; Corporate Governance; Investigations and Forensic Accounting; Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA); Forensic and Litigation Consulting; Post-Acquisition/Integration Services; Regulatory & Dispute and Securities Litigation. Mr. Poer is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Fraud Examiner and he is certified in financial forensics. He holds a B.S. in Public Finance from Indiana University, Bloomington in 1997.
