Mr. Jacques P. Chappuis has been the Managing Director and Co-Head of Solutions and Multiasset Group at Morgan Stanley since February 2016. Mr. Chappuis was a Senior Advisor at The Carlyle Group LP since December 2015. Mr. Chappuis served as Managing Director and Head of the Solutions Business Segment at The Carlyle Group LP from May 2013 to December 2015. Mr. Chappuis joined The Carlyle Group LP in February 2013. Mr. Chappuis was a part of the investment solutions fund segment of The Carlyle Group. He transformed Alternative Investment Partners from a traditional fund of funds to an alternative investments solutions business. Mr. Chappuis served as Chief Executive Officer the President of AIP Macro Registered Fund A since September 2010. From 2009 to 2013, Mr. Chappuis served as the Head of Morgan Stanley Alternative Investment Partners. He served at Morgan Stanley since 2006 and spent seven years at the firm. From 2006 to 2009, he served as the Head of Alternative Investments at Morgan Stanley Global Wealth Management and Citigroup Global Wealth Management. At Morgan Stanley, he had run the fund-of-funds business. He served as the President at Morgan Stanley Alternative Investment Partners LP since 2009. Prior to that, Mr. Chappuis served as a Managing Director at Citigroup Alternative Investments where he served various roles within Citigroup Alternative Investments. Before entering the asset management industry, Mr. Chappuis worked as a strategy consultant at the Boston Consulting Group and in corporate finance at Bankers Trust Mr. Chappuis served as a Consultant of the Boston Consulting Group, where he focused on the financial services sector and a Corporate Finance Associate at Bankers Trust Company. He serves as the Chairman of AlpInvest Partners B.V and board member of Diversified Global Asset Management Corporation. Mr. Chappuis has been a Director of Demeter Management Corporation. since September 22, 2006. He maintains Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses. He maintains registrations in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. He received an M.B.A. in Finance, with honors from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business in 1998, where he graduated with distinction and a B.A. degree in Finance in 1991 and B.S.M. from Tulane University.
