Our interview process is extremely democratic--an IC can veto a candidate that a C-level exec wants with no fear of consequences. It's extremely rigorous and when people make it through they are almost always an EXCELLENT hire.

Leadership is exceptionally transparent: they field hard questions every week at all hands and are very open to anyone in the company coming to them. They also work hard to identify and authentically solve personnel problems, including interpersonal conflicts.

Mental health is a real, authentic priority at Discord. Peers support each other when they're going through a rough time--I even made some friends by reaching out for help and getting it from people I'd never even met before!

Being happy and satisfied with your work is a big priority for management at Discord. Your manager will help you--within reason of course--to get what you need to be happy! For me that means learning new skills, trying out new things, and having the chance to try out leadership with low stakes
