
Everyone on the leadership team knows enough about the nuances of the business and our technology to appreciate the work that goes into building it out. They are aware how much we (the employees) deliver on a daily basis and are often available to help solve problems in a hands-on manner.
We are still a small company and even though most of us work from home, we are offered many opportunities to get to know each other. At the same time, there is no pressure for those who would rather keep interactions to a minimum to participate. Everyone and everyone's preferences are respected.
We work hard and remain appropriately focused on growing the value of the company but are seen, known, and appreciated as individuals with interests, passions, and needs that extend far beyond our jobs. Just because what we do is part of the job is never the reason for others to not say "thank you".
Knowing that even when I have a day full of meetings, those meetings are with intelligent people who expect my best but understand that is not always possible, or may sometimes take time. Also, knowing that after a day full of meetings, I'm not usually expected to spend the next 8 hours catching up!
