How employees describe working at Vrbo
Do not book a reservation with their properties. Sent multiple confirmations with different cancellation policies. Questionable property owner practices. Immediate charge to CC, difficult to obtain a refund even if you have to cancel within one day of booking reservation.
Better supervision of Hosts and better customer service.
Take care of customers and not just hosts
Vrbo is fine until you have an issue. I am working through an issue now where for 4 days I have not been able to login to my account. And no one can fix it. Or, no one has even tried to fix it.
If a customer makes a reservation for a property then VRBO should actually honor that reservation for said property and not allow an owner to just cancel the rental reservation. Could you imagine Hilton Hotels or Marriot Hotels cancelling your reservation after properly booking a room.

What benefits does Vrbo provide?
standard benefits + Friday breakfast
Typical benefits - medical, dental, etc. - although no gym membership or subsidy once Expedia took over. :-(
If you could make changes, how would you improve the culture at Vrbo?
Diversity training; respect for everyone, regardless of race, gender, age, etc.
Culture is good overall but still too many fiefdoms and not enough open, cross-team collaboration. Lack of communication is the biggest obstacle the company needs to overcome.
What is the dress code at Vrbo?

What is the PTO policy at Vrbo?
Depends on the level of the employee. It can range from 2 - 4 weeks; for executives and directors it has been "unlimited." (That may be changing.) Unfortunately, depending on the department or manager, taking ANY time off is looked upon as weak and it's hard to do so. Those managing to escape for any length of time can expect to be on-call 24/7. Ironic for a company that bills itself as a vacation company.
