Review from Customer Support Dept · Posted 15 days ago
High salary for the market (in Europe)
It allows me a lot of room for growth as I'm given the opportunity to set my own goals and pace of how I would like me career to grow within EG. However, it is not a place for someone who requires a lot of hand holding or folks like things being handed to you on a silver platter.
The trust it has built and reputation it has.
It is a good company

How does Expedia, Inc. handle HR issues?
Efficiently and fast
Usually well, but I've seen a few cases where the impacted people were not treated fairly and blindsided.
How innovative is Expedia, Inc.?
The company has been very reactive and innovative in the past. These days they are still very innovative but much of the energy is focused on fixing problems caused in the past.
Expedia was stuck in a rut for many years with very little innovation. Early in the 2010s they hired a few key leaders in product and engineering who turned around the company and began innovating again. But the company is primarily a follower of innovation rather than a leader, with a few exceptions. Nothing wrong with it as long as you're doing it quickly and successfully.

How does Expedia, Inc. measure success and growth in the Product department?
There is a lot of bias in the upper echelon of the product management department. Not by gender or race though. Those guys have their favorites and a single bad interaction with a product manager can slow down his career advancement. The leader of the group has strong opinions about people but is closed minded. Once he develops a view of a person that view will stick. Things were better in the previous regime.
