Depends on the employer. You can go to HR if there is an HR department, you can find a competitive bid elsewhere for a new job or negotiation, or simply ask for a raise.

Improve your skill set. Take classes related to your career. Talk to your employer and ask for a higher salary.

Ask a coworker you are comfortable with to confirm. Or review anonymous salaries online in your area. If confirmed, bring the issue up with your boss during a 1on1 or review. Be on good behavior to ensure relations remain healthy. Do not ask for too much, but learn to recognize stalling or bait tactics. Document and date everything so you can back up your argument if you need to justify your reasoning.

First, make a benchmark for your position and city you live. Second, exceeds what your position expects, and ask to your boos for a rise, Third, if second doesn't work, go to the labor market and look for a better opportunity for you.

Ask for a raise, here is a situation, why am I not getting paid the same as he is, that person is white and I am of color I am operating the same machine, even when he is here, when he is off, when he is on vacation, the supervisor is white what is going on here, I have recordings of them saying racial remarks about people who work here, I like working here I feel that I belong here don't let me go to senior Management, I will bypass you because, you the manager know about this because you let it be, fuck out of here, this is not blackmailing, discrimination lawsuits are not in my best interest yet, if i don't get what I deserve I will get what I want, do not test me, we cool with this chump I mean champ I would say that to the manager, I did this exact thing and I won.

Take on a stretch assignment where you improve a metric that is a problem area. Own the process from start to finish. Improve the metric to above company standard. Share the success with management. Win your annual review get a larger raise or promotion.

Ask for a raise, research proper pay first. If no raise then switch jobs

First, examine why you think you are underpaid: Is it because you know of an employee in the same position that makes more? If so, 1. You should never compare pay and 2. That employee might have the same position, but different responsibilities. Do you feel like you do more than you should or more than those around you? If so, that is your choice to take on others responsibilities as well. Cut back your workload to what you are responsible for and when something is said, make your co-workers help. At the end of all of this, if you feel the workload isnt being compensated for then ask for a raise. Be prepared for 1. An employer to say no, and 2. For you to look for another place to work making a wage you find acceptable. If you get the increase, great. Good luck.

Do your own research on the market for your situation (experience, contribution, etc). Gather data. And then talk to your boss. Find out if the compensation is due to things outside your control such as budget or within your control such as performance.

List a brief and concise presentation of your highlights. If that gets you know where, land another job that pays what you want and if the company values enough they will match.

Don't look to outside sources, know what you want in life, know your value and ask for more money or leave if you think you're being underpaid

The only way for you to negotiate for a pay adjustment, you need to achieve goals. That said, Ask your CEO, What would it take for me to receive $$? Most CEO will reply with non-realistic goals, it's up to you to bring them down to earth.

Write down a list of the contributions you have made to your organization and tell them what you believe your value is and prove to them why they should agree. If you truly are an asset to the company, and they can fiscally afford it, they will give you the increase you deserve.

Present your manager/employer with statistics. Got to glass door, indeed or any other sites that allow you to see salary data. Present those numbers to your boss, but pair that data with examples of you working outside your job description and highlight and specifics to show why you're a great team member. Good luck!
