Plan your freelance work around your full time job
As long as it dont hurt there dollars coming in or you compete with them
As long as it does not interfere or conflict there should be no issues
It may if there is a conflict of interest or not performing well in your position.
Do it at night or on weekends when you arent working
It would be best to ask the boss if it is okay. Especially if your work could be considered a competitor or the companies work
It all depends. if you have a non-compete, you cannot work for a competitor of your company. Some companies take that very strictly and will try to stop you from doing ANY freelance work at all, claiming that your efforts should be dedicated to their betterment. And apparently, some states support that medieval view. However, if you can make the case (at least to yourself) that your freelance efforts and time will not adversely affect your work for your company, then all should go pretty well.
You should check your employee handbook about sidework. If it’s permitted and you aren’t working for a competitor it should be fine. No way to know if your boss will be mad unless you ask him/her.
As long as it is after hours, and not for a competitor, your boss shouldn't have a problem with it.
It depends if there is a conflict of interest
Unless you have a contract that says no outside work they really can’t fire you but right to work state they can fire you cus your eyes are brown
If he is a good boss and it doesnt interfere with job he shouldnt get mad.
You must inform them when being hired if you plan on doing freelance work, and try to plan your freelance work around your main job schedule
as long as it's not a conflict of interest it should be ok
