Depends on how many have been interviewed. College recruiting can last a month. You will most likely be told approximately when to expect a result. For a one position interview, ask. If no answer, call after a couple of days to say thank you (or email-much better). Ask in email when you should hear back — or how long to wait until next call/email.

Depends on the employer. Some will need you immediately and others drag their feet for weeks. I would say in 3 days you should contact and ask if the position was filled.
Call them back after 4 to 5 days

Depends. For junior level 1 month, for senior levels 3 months or more

Don't ever give up. Just keep your options open and remain flexible.
I think you should always reach out an ask for an honest opinion. Most people despair when they don't get the call back but it might not be them or they might have already been taken out of consideration. It never hurts to try a get a straight answer and who knows, some of the information that you receive from failed prospective job might help you get a job somewhere else.
